Christopher Gabriel passed away on July 8, 2012, in Federalsburg, MD. He was 11 years old.

Christopher was born in Haiti on September 30, 2000, the son of Francois Gabriel and Rosemane Maxi Gabriel of Federalsburg. He was a very good student at Federalsburg Elementary School where he had completed the 5th grade. He loved to play football and soccer and singing in the chorus at school.

In addition to his parents he is survived by a brother Francemane Gabriel, 3 sisters, Yorvlica Gabriel, Christmarie Francesca Gabriel and Yorvline Gabriel all of Federalsburg, MD; aunts Frazie Gabriel, Clautide Gabriel, Altagrace Gabriel, Alberte Jean-Baptiste and her husband Alcius, and Anaise Jean-Baptiste, an uncle Adisson Gabriel and his wife Micheline, cousins Jordan Gabriel, Jordany Louissaint, Jorslin Gabriel, Glother Gabriel, Glodilia Gabriel, Claudine Jean-Baptist, Danielson Jean-Baptiste, Albens Jean-Baptiste, Briana Destine, Yodeline Joseph, Guerline Joseph, Fenel Joseph, Erlande Jean-Baptiste, Sainvilia Jean-Baptiste, Marckens Jean-Bapiste, Jacob Jean-Baptiste, Lorvia Gabriel, Prophete Bruno, Phisline DesJardin, Fislet DesJardin, Claudette Sylvain and Sulvanette Sylvain, maternal grandmother, Roseclai Maxi and paternal grandmother, Clodine Dona.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Aduis Cariel.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Atlanta Road Alliance Church, 22625 Atlanta Rd, Seaford, DE. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg and one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church. Vladimir Petrov D. Jacotin passed away on July 8, 2012, in Federalsburg, MD. He was 12.

Vladimir was born in Carrefour, Haiti on February 29, 2000, the son of Antonio Jacotin of Federalsburg and Marie Alex Sanon of Haiti. He enjoyed playing soccer, basketball and video games, reading the Bible and watching Saturday morning cartoons. Vladimir liked music and dancing, telling jokes and making friends. He wanted to be famous and often spoke about being on television and in magazines one day. He had a way of always putting a smile on everyone’s face.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his step-mother, Yranie Desrosiers of Federalsburg and his step-father, Prenel Dorlusne of Haiti, two sisters, Widmylove Dorlusne and Smolenskaia Jacotin, a brother Previnsky Dorlusne all of Haiti, aunts, Yolande Barthelemy, Louise Gue, Guerdie Jacotin, Daphnee Jacotin, Carline Joseph all of Haiti and Adrienne Jacotin of Florida, uncles, Yves Joseph and Kesly Valmont, both of Haiti, cousins Sherly Jacotin, Anel Delva, Botes Mesidor, Theriy Mode, Cedric Fermine Jacotin and Evans Labossiere, grandfather, Gerard Joseph, of Haiti, step-grandparents, Careus Desrosiers and Vita F. Desrosiers both of Federalsburg, and step-aunts, Wideline Louis, Brigitte Louis, and Margarette Desrosiers.

Nancy Lee Schiff of Harmony passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Easton. She was 82.

She was born on March 13, 1930 in Bridgeville, DE, the daughter of the late John T. Williams and Nellie V. Hastings Williams.

She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher, communion steward, member of the church choir and other ministries. She was a volunteer at the Samaritan House in Denton, MD.

She is survived by her husband Noah E. Schiff of Harmony, a son Thomas E. Schiff and his wife Lesley of Hurlock, a daughter, Ruth S. Green and her husband Eric of Thurmont, MD, 3 grandchildren, Sayward E. Lippincott and her husband Kevin of York PA, Olivia M. Green of Thurmont, MD and Devin R. Green of Thurmont, MD, and 1 great-grandson, Thaddeus Lippincott.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Harmony United Methodist Church in Harmony with the Reverend David Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at the Denton Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday at the Framptom Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Anna Mae Kelley Rothermel of Houston, DE passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Milford Hosptial. She was 84.

She was born February 18, 1928 in Harmony, Maryland, the daughter of the late Francis E. “Frank” Kelley and Jennie Marshall Kelley.

She graduated from Preston High School with the class of 1945. She worked at Maryland Plastics in Federalsburg and later retired from Kraft Foods in Dover.

Anna enjoyed her time living with her grandson Bradley and his wife Heather and her great grandchildren before moving into the retirement village in Milford. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling, doing crafts, crocheting, knitting, oil painting, gardening, square dancing, and Eastern Shore cooking. She was a member of the Red Hatter’s, Caroline County Homemakers Club, former president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Department, and a board member of the Harrington Senior Center.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennie Holmes and her husband, Thomas of Preston, a grandson, Bradley Plutschak and his wife, Heather of Preston, two great-grandchildren, Hayden Plutschak and Molly Plutschak, and a brother, Lester “Dutch” Kelley of Rehoboth. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Butler in 2008, a brother, Olin “Hot Dog” Kelley, and a sister, Doris Wetzel.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Framptom Funeral Home, in Federalsburg with Rev. E. Martin Wiley officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Yamoul Dona passed away on July 8, 2012, in Federalsburg, MD. He was 6 years old,

Yamoul was born in Haiti on August 16, 2005, the son of Yaboul Dona of Federalsburg and Linda Danastor of Haiti. He was a student at Federalsburg Elementary School where he completed the 1st grade. Yamoul enjoyed playing basketball and participating in Karate.

In addition to his parents he is survived by two sisters, Yasnide Dona and Yastine Dona, and a brother Donacien Dona, all of Federalsburg, paternal grandparents, Donacien Dona and Marie S. Dona of Federalsburg, and a maternal grandmother, Safinie Jeanti of Haiti.

Norma A. Micheliche passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Easton Memorial Hospital in Easton, Maryland. She was 76.

She was born on January 6, 1936 in San German, Puerto Rico the daughter of the late Antonio Pimental and Angela Torres Pimentel.

After graduation, she married Henry Micheliche Sr. on October 28, 1955. An avid seamstress, she started her own tailoring business that she ran for more than twenty years. In addition she was a homemaker who also enjoyed gardening, and reading. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Hurlock.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Henry Micheliche, Sr. of Hurlock, four children; Henry Micheliche and his fiancée, Susan Stull of Federalsburg, Robert Micheliche and his wife Antoinette of Federalsburg, Diana Marshall and her husband Mark of East New Market, and Brian Micheliche and his wife, Judy of Federalsburg, sixteen grandchildren; Alexandria, Amanda, Bob, Joseph, Andrew, Frankie, Teresa, Jade, Keri, Emma, Brittney, Brandy, Breann, Brian, Tyler and Kevin; five great grandchildren; and four siblings; Jose Pimentel and his wife Nilda of FL, Carlos Pimentel of PA, Sylvia Gregory of NY and Francis M. Pimentel and his wife Rory of GA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings; Raymond Pimentel, Raul Pimentel, Francis Pimentel, Sammy Pimentel and Angela Kelley.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 1:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg with the Reverend David Tally officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Beulah. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 2, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

She was born on November 22, 1921 near Preston, Maryland, the daughter of the late Charles Monroe Jenkins and Sally Phillips Jenkins.

She graduated from Lockerman High School with the class of 1938.

After high school, she worked for the former Con Agra, and later B & G Pickle in Hurlock. She later was a private sitter for the elderly.

She was a member of Mount Calvary United Methodist in Preston. Over the years, she served in various ways; she was the Past President of the United Methodist Women, and Past Secretary of the Church Board.

She is survived by a daughter, Frances Brown and her husband Isadore of Mardella Springs, MD, three grandchildren, Cheryl Fletcher of Hurlock, Mark Brown and his companion Patsy of Federalsburg, and Darryl Brown and his wife Terri of Hurlock, three great grandchildren, Kentay Fletcher and his wife Megan of Fruitland, MD, Charles Wright of GA and Darryll Brown, Jr. of Hurlock, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings: Mamie Sampson, Curtis Jenkins, Roland Jenkins, James Jenkins and Cassie Conway.

A funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Mount Calvary United Methodist Church in Preston with the Reverend Shirlyn Brown officiating. Interment will follow at the Eastern Shore Veteran Cemetery near Beulah. Friends may call the church from 11:00 to 12:00 on Tuesday.

Annie R. Woods of Federalsburg, Maryland passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012. She was 93.

She was born on May 7, 1919 in Federalsburg, Maryland, daughter of the late Samuel Brummell and Ella Brummell.

She worked for Sunshine Laundry in Federalsburg and Wright’s Cannery for many years. She later was a housekeeper. She was a former member of John Wesley United Methodist Church in Federalsburg.

Annie is survived by host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and seven brothers, Mary Blake, Eva Mae Brummell, Sarah E. Turner, Hilda Mae Hammond, Willie Brummell, Ernest H. Brummell, Walter B. Brummell, Jerome D. Brummell, Samuel W. Brummell, Charles E. Brummell, Louis T. Brummell and her long time companion William Richards.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 25 , 2012 at 1:00 at the Kingdom Empowerment Christian Church in Seaford, Delaware. Interment will follow in Federal Hill Cemetery in Federalsburg. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m..

Henry Francis Jester of Bridgeville, DE, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE. He was 82.

He was born on August 7, 1929 in Denton, Maryland, the son of the late Henry F. Jester and Florence Marine Jester.

He attended and graduated from Federalsburg High School. After graduation, he entered the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He later worked at E.I. DuPont in Seaford, DE. He retired in 1985 after 35 years of loyal service.

He was married to the former Gloria Harvey Key on August 24, 1999.

He was a member of the Seaford Elks Lodge #2458, Federalsburg VFW Post #5246, and the American Legion Post 19 in Laurel, DE. He enjoyed bowling, playing slots in Dover and Harrington, and was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Harvey Key Jester of Bridgeville, DE, a daughter, Georgie Benson and her husband John of Laurel, DE; a daughter-in-law, Dianne Jester of Preston, MD, four grandchildren, Shari Benson and John Benson both of Laurel, DE; Jason Jester and his wife Shannon of Federalsburg, MD; Michael Jester of LA; five step children, Sue Macaulay and her husband Tom of PA; Bobby Key and his wife Diana of Denton, MD; Jan Oglesby and her husband David of AL; Jennie Barrett and her husband Tom of FL; and Rodney Key of Baltimore, MD; a sister, Helen Lord of Greensboro, MD; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard A Jester, and six siblings, Elmer Jester, Claude Jester, Marie Zlock, Kenny Jester, Hazel Kelly and Roland Jester.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 12:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg with the Reverend Denzil T. Cheek officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 on Monday.

John Floyd Lorence, Jr. of Federalsburg passed away at Memorial Hospital in Easton on Saturday, June 23, 2012. He was 75.
He was born in Alexandria, VA, son of the late John F. Lorence, Sr. and Margaret Simms Webster.
He grew up on a tobacco farm in Southern Maryland continuing the heritage of his Polish family which had proceded for over 100 years. He served his country at Fort Belvoir, VA and La Plata, MD in the National Guards. He was a commercial waterman fishing from the waters of the Potomac River, Chesapeake Bay, and Taylors Island. For the last twenty five years he was a member in good standing in the Alcoholics Anonymous Community and was a grateful sponsor and sponsee.
He is survived by his loving wife and lifetime companion of 55 years, Sarah Ann Thompson Lorence whom he married on June 8, 1957. He is also survived by four children, John F. Lorence, III of Belle Aire, MD, Thomas W. Lorence of Cape Coral, FL, Pamela Ann O’Connor of Clearmont, FL, and Cynthia Marie Karwacki of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Andrew Lorence of Abliene, TX, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David Leroy Lorence.
A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Bessie L. Milligan 80, and formerly of Hurlock, died on Wednesday August 8, 2012 at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown, DE where she had been a resident since 2001.

She was born in Bridgeville, DE on July 19, 1932 the daughter of the late John Harry Brown and Hester Sarah Banning Brown. Her husband, Norman E. Milligan, Sr. preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Bridgeville High School and took music courses at Pilgrim College in Allentown, PA. She worked as a seamstress for many years.

She is survived by a son, Mark D. Brown of Hurlock, a sister, Grace Martin of Seaford, two brothers, Wilson H. Brown of Dover and Nelson T. Brown of Seaford and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for her will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Unity-Washington Cemetery in Hurlock. Funeral services are under the direction of Framptom Funeral Home, P. A. in Federalsburg.

She was born at Finchville in Dorchester County on December 22, 1928 the daughter of the late Cecil H. Wheatley and Mary Carroll Wheatley. Her husband, Ernest J. Collins preceded her in death on December 6, 2006.

She was a graduate of Hurlock High School class of 1945. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Internal Revenue Service, Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Excelsior Pearl Works before she became a care giver for her parents and her husband’s parents.

She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Dee Collins of Denton, MD, a grandson, Joshua Ernest Porter of Denton, Jamie Mitchem and Jean Door who she valued as if her own children and her special friends, Wayne, Mook and Cooper Andrew and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Wheatley, Jr. and two sisters, Elizabeth Cordrey and an infant sister, Florence Wheatley.

She was born on June 17, 1928 at Hickman, DE the daughter of the late Luther Jester and Mary Ellen Breeding Jester. She was preceded in death by husband’s Leon Trice and Henry DiGenno.

She was a graduate of Caroline High School in Denton and was a homemaker who enjoyed gospel music, Christian programming and she attended Park Lane Church of God. She enjoyed sewing, baking and cooking and taking them to her friends and family.

She is survived by Wayne Trice and his wife Marilyn, two daughters, Bonnie Salmons and her husband Jack, II and Susan J. Long and her husband John all of Federalsburg, five grandchildren, Darren Trice, Melinda Trice, Wendy Donovan, Jack Salmons III and Michael Long, six great-grandchildren, Abigail Trice Slacum, Megan Hudson, Brandon Donovan, R. J. Garner, Chris Garner and Brittany Garner, a sister, Betty Mae Truitt of Seaford, DE and many nieces and nephews. A daughter, Brenda Jean Trice, two sisters, Martha Jester and Marie Draper and two brothers, James Jester and Nelson Jester preceded her in death.

Funeral services for her will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home, P. A. in Federalsburg with Rev. Denzil Cheek and Rev. Mark Donovan officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from noon to 2:00 p.m.

Edmund F. “Buddy” Phillips of Trappe, MD, formerly of Federalsburg, passed away on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012 at the Talbot Hospice House in Easton, MD. He was 93.

He was born on April 27, 1919 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Harry Thomas Phillips and Ethel Frances Gillan Phillips. At an early age he moved to Vienna, MD where he was raised by his grandmother, Sally Corkran.

He was a WW II Army Veteran serving from 1942 to 1945, where he received the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars and 1 Bronze Arrowhead. On the 60th anniversary commemorating D-Day he returned to Normandy with his niece, Elaine. He was employed by Delmarva Power as a Field Technician and Troubleshooter, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the VFW Post #5246 in Federalsburg. He served as president of the Local I.B.E.W. Union. He was also a member of the Caroline Country Club. He enjoyed playing cards, golfing, horse racing, Nascar and the Baltimore Orioles.

He is survived by a daughter Melissa Dulin and her husband Phil of Easton, 2 granddaughters Chloe Ball and Riley Dulin, both of Charlottesville, VA one niece, Elaine Marston of New Jersey, and special friend Betty Lee Dunegan of Easton. He was preceded in death by two wives Charlotte Coors Phillips and Mae J. Phillips, and two sisters Ethel Phillips and Muriel Phillips.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

He was born September 16, 1946 in Wels, Austria the son of Elizabeth Mondulick of Glen Burnie, MD and the late George J. Mondulick.

He worked as an electrician until his retirement several years ago and had lived at his home in Federalsburg for the past 9 years.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Bobbi D. Harrison Mondulick, three daughters, Lisa Mondulick, Lori Triplett and Kara Larrimore, a son, Billy Larrimore, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A son, Michael Mondulick preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home, P. A. in Federalsburg, MD with Rev. Peter Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mary Lou Moore, formerly of Federalsburg, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2012 at Caroline Nursing Home in Denton, MD where she had been a patient for several years. She was 70.
She was born on March 1, 1942 in Bridgeville, DE the daughter of the late Earl P. Jester and Georgia Ann Scott Jester Willin. Her husband, James Franklin “Sleepy” Moore, Jr. preceded her in death as did a son, James F. Moore, III.
She loved country decorating, flowers and the outdoors. During her working years she worked in the meat department for Acme Markets. She was a faithful supporter of the Park Lane Church of God in Federalsburg.
She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Renee Moore (Edward Truitt), Faith Ann Hughes (James Scott Hill) and Eva Eason, and one son, Jeffrey M. Moore (Karen) all of Federalsburg, 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchild, a brother, Paul Jester of Greenwood, DE, a sister, Betty Robertson of Delmar, DE and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sat. Sept. 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home with Bishop Ray Parsons officiating. Interment will follow in Bloomery Cemetery in Smithville. O. Robert “Booty” Quidas died at his home at Wings Landing Farm near Harmony on Tuesday, April 28, 2012. He was 96.

He was born on April 14, 1916 at Wings Landing Farm the son of the late Fred Quidas and Fannie Worm Quidas. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 60 years, Mildred Todd Quidas who died February 24, 2000. He loved to fox hunt and raised and trained many dogs in his life.

He owned Wings Landing Farm at Bell Creek for many years where he grew produce, poultry and grain. He was a commercial fisherman on the Choptank River behind his house and did carpentry including building silo’s.

He is survived by a son, Wayne Quidas and his wife Sharon and a daughter, Connie Q. Eskridge and her husband Webby all of Harmony, five grandchildren, Ryan Quidas, Shawn Quidas, Shayna Quidas, Mark Eskridge and Wendi Eskridge, three great-grandchildren, Isabella Lobato Quidas, Kathleen Eskridge and Kristine Eskridge, one great-great-grandchild Chance Carr, a sister, Ethel Engle and her husband Wilbur of Preston and many nieces and nephews and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by a brother, Alan Quidas and four sisters, Bertie Plustchak, Josephine Engle, Irene Stanley and Marie Watts.

Funeral services for him will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Framptom Funeral Home, P. A. with Rev. David Heistand officiating. Interment will follow in Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 and on Saturday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

James R. Bailey passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital at Easton. He was 78.

He was born on May 15, 1934 in Laurel, Delaware, the son of the late Alfred J. Bailey and Grace Dickerson Bailey.

After serving in the United States Navy, he worked as a salesman for the former Cope’s Candy Company in Sharptown, MD. On June 20, 1959 he married the former Janet Hopkins. James was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Hurlock, the U.S. Navy Cruiser Sailors Association and the U.S.S. Northhampton Reunion Association.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Hopkins Bailey of Preston, a daughter, Susan B. Ortega and her husband John of Rhodesdale, a granddaughter, Danielle Murphy and her husband Daniel of Salisbury, a grandson, Matthew Ortega and his wife Chelsea of Hurlock, an “adopted” granddaughter, Jade English of Rhodesdale and an aunt, Ruth Murray of Salisbury.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 17, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Robert Bridner officiating. Interment will follow at the Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
