Margie Etta Tyler

Margie Etta Tyler, of Federalsburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford surrounded by her loving family. She was 84. She was born on September 14, 1931, the daughter of the late Robert Leonard Magee, Sr. and Ethel Mae Turner Magee. She married Frank Van Perry Tyler, who preceded her in death on January 11, 2002. Margie attended Maryland State College, where she earned her bachelor of science degree in Physical Education. After graduation, she was employed for a number of years as a physical education and health teacher in the Chester Upland School District . Margie had a passion for shopping and music, especially the 2nd Generation Choir, where she spent most of her time as a music booster and supporter. She was an avid sports enthusiast, especially of LeBron James, and loved going to the casino. She had a flair for fashion and was a wonderful decorator. Most of all, Margie was a devoted sister, aunt, and friend, who loved and supported her family. She is survived by six siblings, Iris Hooper, of Federalsburg, Eugene Magee, of Easton, Kendall Magee, of Federalsburg, Don Magee, of Phildelphia, Constance Hawkins, of Philadelphia, and Wayne Magee, Sr., of Bridgeton, NJ, a host of nieces, nephews and their children and grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Leonard Magee, Jr., Golderick Magee, Eddie Magee, Perrium Magee, and sister Maxine Magee. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Briggs and Reverend Jeff Butler officiating. Interment will follow at Federal Hill Cemetery in Federalsburg. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
