Beulah Beach “Bea” Trice, formerly of Preston, MD, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at William Hill Manor in Easton, MD. She was 100 years old. She was born Jan. 1, 1914 in Delmar, DE, the daughter of the late James Franklin Beach and Mary Owens Beach. Her husband of 56 years, Thomas Luther Trice III, who preceded her in death on March 17, 2003, owned and operated Trice’s Store in Preston. She received her nurse’s training at the Delaware Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, DE and served as Dr. Harold Plummer’s office nurse in Preston for 33 years. She enjoyed playing bridge. Upon retirement Mrs. Trice volunteered for the Easton Hospital Auxiliary. She was a lifelong member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. Mrs. Trice is survived by a daughter Louise Trice Perry (Bruce H.) of Easton, a son Thomas L. Trice IV (Charlotte L.) of Salisbury, six grandchildren, Katherine Ewers (Tripp), Caroline Spurry (Steve), Colin Perry (Wayne Bryan), Thomas C. Trice (Kerri), Douglas Trice (Jessica), Andrew Trice (Marta), great-grandchildren, Tyler Trice, Cassidy Trice, Matthew Trice, Sarah Trice, Rebekah Trice, Olivia Trice, Maxwell Trice, Graham Willis, Cole Paradine, Winnie Ewers, and another to be arriving in April; and a sister E. Adelene Beach Lowe of Wilmington, DE. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by five siblings, May B. Twilley, Gordy Beach, Frank Beach, Hollis Beach and William Beach. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bethesda United Methodist Church in Preston with Rev. Karen Handy officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Beulah. Friends may call at the church from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Contributions may be made in her memory to Bethesda U. M.
