Elizabeth C. Wilson of Denton, known fondly as “Libby’ passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. She was 80. She was born in Elkins, NC, on May 5, 1934 the daughter of the late Robert L. Cooper and Pearl L. Reynolds Cooper. Libby graduated from Caroline High School with the class of 1952. She was a data processor for the former Preston Trucking. She enjoyed traveling, listening to Blue Grass music, and loved playing bingo. Libby was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and a dear friend to many. She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Paul L. Wilson, whom she married on October 3, 1953, two children, Mike Wilson and his wife, Ann of Denton, Sheila Richardson and her husband Michael of Federalsburg, four grandchildren, Paul Michael Richardson of Federalsburg, Laura Elizabeth Richardson of Bethlehem, PA, Mitchell Frederick Wilson and Matthew Lee Wilson both of Denton, two sisters, Dorothy Breeding of East New Market, June Johnson of Blackwood, NJ, a brother, James Cooper of Greensboro, a devoted friend, Dorothy Blades of Federalsburg, and several special nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Cooper and Herman Cooper, and two sisters, Susie Kurtz and Mary Wooters. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 11-1 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Concord United Methodist Church, PO Box 461, Denton, MD 21629.
