Edgar Albert Coughenour of Preston, known fondly as “Ed” and “Tex” passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 at Memorial Hospital in Easton. He was 91. He was born on January 4, 1922 in Bedford, PA, the son of the late Blair Coughenour and Bessie M. McFerren Coughenour. He was preceded in death by his wives, Elizabeth Coughenour and Elaine Coughenour. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He enjoyed working in his yard and always kept it impeccable. He loved his dogs. Ed is survived by many younger cousins, dear friends, Judith Gufstafson, Ewa Winogrodska, Marcia Toth and her children, Ashtyn Fuchs, Lane Pritchett, Caleb Pritchett, Cammeo Pritchett, Kyndra Pritchett, Cheryl Graves and her husband, Joe, and their children, Ryan Graves, Jordan Graves, Brianna Graves and her daughter, Treszure, and many friends from New Jersey and the Bronx, NY. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday.
