Joanna M Moore, 55, of Hebron, Md., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md. She was born on Nov. 10, 1960 in Easton, Md., the daughter of the late J. William Moore and Evelyn Williams Moore. She attended Colonel Richardson High School and after graduation she enrolled in the McQueen Gibbs School of Nursing. She later earned her master’s degree from the University of Florida. Joanna will be remembered fondly by many who were treated and comforted by her as a nurse practitioner. She was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church where she was active in the Bible study and ladies prayer group. She was a Kansas City Barbeque Society Certified BBQ Judge and enjoyed traveling with her husband to events. She also enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Burt Moore of Hebron; two children, Stephanie Espiritu and her husband Wela of Maui, Hawaii and Pamela Trevillian and her husband Jeff of Valrico, Fla.; four grandchildren, Stella, Anu, Jeff Jr., and Gunnar; two sisters, Annette Prouse of Summerfield, N.C. and Jackie Hurlock and her husband Richard of Hurlock, Md.; three brothers, Tim Moore and his wife Carol of Federalsburg, Md., John Moore of North Port, Fla., and Michael Moore and his wife Joanne of Randleman, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Annie Sorkin and her husband Jeff of Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul J. Friedberg. The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, followed by the funeral service at 11 with Pastor Todd Hurley officiating.
