Knute Aspenberg of Seaford, DE, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. Knute was a master florist and a master model shipwright. As a florist his work was seen for many years on the stage of the annual Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City. A move to Delmarva afforded Knute the chance to follow his passion, model ship building. Knute’s models were all made from scratch and his work is seen in many venues including the United States Naval Academy, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, and the Delaware Bay Museum, as well as many private collections. Knute was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothea Aspenberg as well as a sister Patricia Tozour. He is survived by his wife, Bertha (Webb), and a step-daughter Michelle Post and her husband Kevin. Services will be private.
