Angeline Wheatley Collins of Denton died at Caroline Nursing Home in Denton, MD on Thursday, August 9, 2012. She was 83.
She was born at Finchville in Dorchester County on December 22, 1928 the daughter of the late Cecil H. Wheatley and Mary Carroll Wheatley. Her husband, Ernest J. Collins preceded her in death on December 6, 2006.
She was a graduate of Hurlock High School class of 1945. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Internal Revenue Service, Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Excelsior Pearl Works before she became a care giver for her parents and her husband’s parents.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Dee Collins of Denton, MD, a grandson, Joshua Ernest Porter of Denton, Jamie Mitchem and Jean Door who she valued as if her own children and her special friends, Wayne, Mook and Cooper Andrew and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Wheatley, Jr. and two sisters, Elizabeth Cordrey and an infant sister, Florence Wheatley.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg with Rev. Gordon Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg.
